The attack on life

Today, we no longer sacrifice in the fire, except sometimes books... But we kill the soils, we poison the seeds, we hide the sun, we sell pesticides, we suppress natural knowledge.

The commercial logic is perfect:

Humans are troublesome and expensive. Buy machines to replace them. They will work better, longer, and are never sick.

To get machines into the fields, you need furrows and roads that crush the earth and the life it harbors. Therefore, we reduce the cultivable surface by that much.

Since machines are good at only one type of crop, we favor large monoculture farms. Remember the term MONO, one only.

Animal species specialize in a plant variety. A monoculture is an open bar for the corresponding animal species, which multiplies and becomes a pest.

So, they sell you pesticides (also called biocides, which kill life) that rid you of pests. But also of all the life around and in the soils.

Without life and coated in biocide, plants die. Indeed, plants are the food relay between the microscopic and the large animals that we are.

So they sell you plants that resist pesticides, GMOs, Genetically Modified Organisms.

Before, farmers bought seeds, planted them, the plants gradually adapted to their new biotope and became more and more beautiful. The farmer recovered the seeds at each generation. And each seed is different from the other; some evolve well, others less so and tend to disappear. This diversity provides food wealth to future consumers who themselves will reproduce, etc.

A GMO is the clone of a single plant. Which means that the millions of blades of wheat, ears of corn, zucchinis… produced each year are in fact the exact same plant endowed with the same genetic heritage that varies according to the growth objectives of the company that manufactures them. The GMO legally belongs to the one who manufactures it. The farmer is forced to buy new seeds every year and is tied hand and foot to the merchant.

The only virtue of GMO seeds is to resist pesticides.

Isn't that brilliant?

And the narrative remains the same: “It is to feed the world.”, “It is to save the planet.”, “It is for your own good.”.

But the facts are there, Western soils have lost 95% of their life, living things are collapsing and the future is mortgaged. Meanwhile, those who killed the living are selling the patents to replace it. Drone bees, smart dust (each grain of dust is a computer, yes that exists), GMO mosquitoes, self-replicating gene therapies (which spread like viruses within herds), etc.
