The Taming of the Wild Man

A woman is sent to tame him: Shamhat, a priestess, an initiate. She approaches him, seduces him, loves him.

And through love, Enkidu becomes human. He loses his wild strength. The beasts flee. He discovers speech, clothing, baked bread, beer.

He enters the city.
