Fire with a very Water team

Fire wants: action. Water wants: connection, emotional security.
What you can do (Fire)
- State your intentions clearly without shouting
- “We are in an urgent phase right now. It’s going to be intense, but it’s temporary. Afterwards, we’ll touch base together.”
- Validate emotions in 2 sentences, not 2 hours
- “I see that this is stressful. We’ll talk about it again after the deadline, but for now, we move forward like this.”
- Give meaning to the struggle
- Explain why you are fighting: for which client, what stakes, what human impact.
To avoid (Fire)
- Humiliating in public “to motivate”.
- Dismissing feelings with “who cares, just move forward”.
- Changing your mind without explanation: it makes them feel insecure.
